Yep
So yesterday a little after I wrote my blog me and my host parents went to this thingy... I don't know what it's called it was something about going into an artisan's home and looking at their work... anyway, that's besides the point. We walked to the house and on the way they pointed out things to me about our little town like the super old farms that when the family line of the farm dies out they sell the farm and renovate it to make a new house, which I thought was cool. Then they showed me this schoolhouse that was... I don't even know how old it was, but old. Then they said that Limelette had been occuppied during WWII by the Nazis. My little town, Limelette, was a part of that war. That is when I remembered why I like Europe so much. There is so much history here it's unbelievable. In the US if a building is like 200 years old it's practially a shrine and here they're just like "200 years? I live 3 kilometers away from a Mideavil castle!" I just felt like writing that little bit for you folks, have a good day.

PS: Birthday shoutout to Valerie, it's tomorrow so everyone that knows her, make sure to wish her a good one.
A good weekend
Pretty much nothing happened during the week, unfortunately, it's like life as normal. I go to school, French classes, study a little, sleep and other such things. This weekend was pretty fun though. Thursday was a friend's birthday so Friday night we had a party for her and it was sssooo fun. We went ice skating. Two of my friends there had never skated in their life so I had to teach them and Niha had this real problem of falling then searching for something to hold on to and got a hold of my throat. And my other friend Michael didn't know how either and he's a guy and bigger than me so everytime he fell, I fell. It was super fun though, I wanna do it again soon. It's been so long since I've done anything like that. It felt a lot more like home, all we ever do is party here and not just like... actually do something. Then after that we just went and hung out at her house, which we do even less than doing something. I've been missing just chilling at someone's house and watching a movie so much and we finally did it! Yay!
And about the show for last time where I thought the show was at the house, yeah, I wasn't being a complete idiot I just got the dates mixed up. THIS weekend was the show at the house. It was actually pretty cool, these guys came and cooked and did a show at the same time. There were a bunch of people here so I got to meet a lot of them, including a professional soccer player. I really can't remember his name, which is a shame, cuz he was good looking. Anyway, he plays for Genk (Gent), which is the best team in Belgium. I think Guillaume almost peed his pants he was so excited :)
So overall good weekend, I didn't end up going to Leuvan though, me and Niha heard there was nothing there and decided against it. I guess I'll write later.

Don't have a title again...
There wasn't a whole lot going on this weekend... Friday night some of my friends from school called me and asked if I wanted to see a movie with them, unfortunately my parents have more of a social life than I do and had plans for the night and therefore couldn't drive me to Louvain-La-Neuve and the trains aren't especially safe for a 17 year old girl alone at night. So I was left all by my lonesome with Star Academy. My mom had been talking about a show for a long while but I guess there was a little misunderstanding on my part, I had been thinking the show was at the house, but we were EATING at the house then leaving for the show. So I was expecting some little cheapo show and during dinner I was wondering why I didn't see anyone setting anything up. Some family was over for dinner and we ate these delicious mushrooms. They were huge and it was only the top, upside down with some Boursin cheese on top and then baked... yeah, it was amazing. Anyway, after dinner everyone was like "Chelsea are you ready?" "Ready for what??" And it was at that moment that I realized the show was not at the house and I then put all my warm clothes on as fast as humanly possible while still putting on my shoes and walking out the door.
So the show was actually pretty good. It was a musical called L'enfant des étoiles and everyone who does anything for the show volunteers and all the money it raises goes to children in Africa. My host uncle designed the whole set, which was amazing and some cousins were in the show as dancers or singers and Gaëlle had been in the last one. Doesn't every family have a crazy old great aunt or a creepy cousin or something? Well, for this family, the COGA came with us to the show and it was pretty stuffy in the theatre but I was like whatever I took off my jacket and didn't pay much attention to it. Then all the sudden in the middle of the show, in the corner of my eye, I see something suddenly fall and I was like what the? and I look over and the COGA had fainted from the heat. Everyone was so freaked out and they stopped the show so they could get her out and she woke up in the middle of being passed down the row to the aisle. Some people took her outside and the show continued after a little confusion. There was a happy ending to this story though, because of this little mishap and their not putting the AC on, we got to go into the VIP section during the intermission, where I met the governor or Walonnie or something like that. So I guess it wasn't too shabby.
Sunday I went to church and I guess there are two little asian men who seem to have taken a liking to me. They kinda freak me out a little bit...
This weekend I'm planning on going to Louvain, I really have no idea what's there but Niha says it's pretty and wanted to go so I said why not? There will be pictures for that coming soon. Hope everything is well wherever you happen to be reading this from.

Papa!
My dad came over the weekend!! YAY!!! I was so happy! We spent Saturday going around through Brussels, showing him where we hang out and such and saw a French movie, Indigenes, which was actually pretty good and didn't even have a sex scene. I was astonished. On Sunday we went to church... I can almost hear all the sighs of relief aimed at your computers now. There are about 120 people in the ward and 3 YW other than me. The YW president is probably about 25 and seems like lots of fun. Then Sunday afternoon we ate at this delicious pita restaurant. And then we had to say goodbye again, which sucked.
I had been on the verge of being sick for about a week and I had been hoping that I would finally just get sick and maybe miss some school. So of course, I get sick on the weekend and then it gets the worst on Monday, the first day of vacation. I pretty much stayed in bed all day, either sleeping or reading. Luckily, my dad brought me some good books to read.
Yesterday I went shopping in L-L-N to find some new jeans because I am in desperate need. Who ever would have thought that finding a pair of normal, low rise, bootcut jeans would be so amazingly hard? I searched the whole freaking mall and found one pair of Levi's that would have done amazingly well besides the fact they were 95 euros, which was blasphemous (I really have no idea how to spell that) to even think about spending that much on a pair of jeans. Then I gave up.
After I got home my family said that I got a call from my next host family so I called them back and they invited me to go to dinner and a movie with them. I won't lie, I am so excited to live with them! They have 5 kids in their family, which is pretty much unthinkable for Europeans, 4 boys and 1 girl. Their house is amazing and they have a ton of animals and I had actually really been missing pets in this house. The mom is very loud and outgoing and the girl is super sarcastic and they are both so funny. It should be a really fun house to live in.
I'm going to Brugge on Friday and it's known as Venice of the North so that should be really fun. I'll probably blog afterwards.
